First Among Many
Shveima Associates worked in concert with the Interpretive Programs Office of the Library of Congress to provide exhibit design services for “First Among Many: The Bay Psalm Book and Early Moments in American Printing” which follows the spread of printing in the earliest years of the republic. The exhibit features two copies of the exceptionally rare Bay Psalm Book, the first book to be printed in what is now the United States.
The fifty-plus items in the exhibition span 150 years and include landmark printings that captured moments in American thought. The exhibit is on display in the South Gallery of the Library of Congress Thomas Jefferson Building in Washington, D.C.
