Design Analysis - This image shows another excerpt from my Senior Thesis. It is another form of analytical mapping in which I took the design principles of Kevin Lynch's "Image of the City" and applied them to the existing site to highlight Landmarks, Paths, Districts, Edges, and Nodes as well as their relationship to each other. A simplified version of this analysis could also be applied to the mapping of a downtown and outlining of it's key features.

Historic Buildings and Circulation Map - This is an excerpt from my Senior Thesis. I worked on a historic youth camp and conference center in WV. This map was produced for analytical purposes to show the relationship of historic buildings and sites to primary circulation routes on site. Similar techniques could be applied to illustrative mapping as well.
