Distorted beauty is image of reality with questionable aesthetics and ethics we are living in. It is an eclectic mixture of tastes and styles present in Bratislava today – from abandoned ruins to desolate development, from romantic ornamentations to concrete slabs.
Generated form is achieved by simulating perspective deformations and translating them onto geometry, rather than image. It is method capable of creating new spaces with possible optical illusion, enlarging or shrinking space, twisting geometry and our perception of space. Since human perception is able to recognize deformations only on objects already known, different parts from important city structures were assembled together and deformed. This way, twisted essence of Bratislava emerges on the edge of the center...
