Computer Arts cover illustration 2015
Here is the illustration that I have created for Computer Arts' competition.
Every year this amazing publication allows young graduates to compete for their illustrations and skills to embellish the front page of one of their summer issues.
The themes that we should stick to are "new talent", "rising star" and similar.
My concept's central motive was the rise of the new, big sun, that shines a new light on the sea of current trends, currents, etc. We also have a sky as an element representing limitless space, free to grow, explore and innovate. The illustration also contains a shell unveiling a hidden gem/pearl, as well as the treasure chest humorously symbolising the tools, means and methods of us, designers.
The whole scene is presented as viewed off the cliff, from the point of view of the reader, clients, employers looking into this new talent, new star that will potentially open new horizons and achieve big things in the creative field.
