The design and build of a barbecue grill and tool set. Tool usage and grilling rituals were discovered through immersive research. The visual language of the product family is directly influenced by the Gibson brand and geared towards their target audience. The final design was selected through an iterative design process of two and three dimensional sketches and sketch models. It was imperative to capture the brand identity of Gibson and translate it into these products.
Gibson keeps an emphasis on traditional shapes with timeless materials, combining exotic woods with polished metals to create a very defined visual language. Usability and ergonomics play an essential role in both their designs and ours. Gibson is known for creating quality products with respect to traditional building methods and is a company that is synonymous with music itself.
