Bop and Boo are brother and sister in the Brave Bunnies animated series and book. Each of these plays music and phrases when squeezed.
I kept their bodies in a softer boa fabric, while their clothes were printed fabrics, to retain the scribble textures from the animation and book illustrations.
To help this larger version of (musical) Bop plush distinct from the small plush, I gave him a carrot-themed bow tie.
Smaller plush as shown in CDU packaging for store display. In the show, the Brave Bunnies ride their Bunny Bus to each new destination.
We helped guide Glowberry to pick 2 among the many Brave Bunny friends that would appeal to kids, so we went with Franny the Fox and Bao the Panda.
Close-up to show the embroidery detail and scribble texture printed on their clothes.
To differentiate this Boo from the talking plush, she has an orange dress here, whereas the talking one has a yellow dress. We used a mixture of fabrics to convey the textural feel of the show and to keep them soft to hold.
It was a joy to work on this adorable Brave Bunnies toy line, and the licensors were lovely partners.

Brave Bunnies Plush Toys

For the Brave Bunnies toy line, I designed small figures and also plush dolls. We made 2 large plushes with sounds and phrases from Bop and Boo, the 2 main characters. For the smaller non-feature plush, we made Bop and Boo, and two of their friends, Franny and Bao. We used a mixture of fabrics to retain the textural variety shown in the original artwork of the books and animation.
