Georgia Association for Women Lawyers

Founded in 1928, the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers ("GAWL") proudly serves the diverse interests of women lawyers around Georgia. GAWL has been pioneering for women lawyers for 80 years, staying true to its mission to enhance the welfare and development of women lawyers and to support their interests. GAWL’s founders included Minnie Hale Daniel (President, 1928-1929), the first woman to graduate from law school in Georgia, and Betty Reynolds Cobb (President 1929-1930), the first woman to pass the Georgia State bar examination.
