London 2012 Merchandise Project - Trinity Academy
This project was conducted as part of a research project into pupil motivation and was entirely pupil-led, with me as the teacher providing only initial direction and troubleshooting help.
As shown in the pictures, the pupils (working in self-directed groups) generated a huge variety of work. They were also extremely motivated and enthusiastic about the opportunity to choose their own path.
The only constraints were time and materials, with pupils otherwise totally free to decide the products made or supporting material included (i.e. packaging, posters etc). The project ended with a presentation of the artefacts produced to class visitors.
