A all-electric vehicle designed to navigate using scent, the NAViS uses sensitive aroma sensing surfaces to navigate along existing roadways and highways.
Aroma sensitive surfacing is located between upper and lower protective surfaces, protected from direct contact and debris.
Scent-carrying airflow shown flowing over the aroma detecting surfaces, and through Scent Concentration Sensors (SCS) at the front and rear of the NAViS.
The NAViS uses a FreeMotion wheel system, whereby the wheel is also the electric motor. Only the outer section of the wheel rotates; the centre section stays fixed, and incorporates indicator signals and a charge level light.
