The Elements of Design are Line, Color, Shape, Texture, Value, Space, and Form. These are combined to form the Principles of Design which are Emphasis, Unity, Balance, Pattern, Contrast, Proportion and Rhythm. To create this Elements and Principles poster I used Adobe Illustrator which unlike Adobe Photoshop uses vector which is perfect for things that will be enlarged. The tools I used to create the poster are the Text and Vertical text tools to create the words. I also used the shape and line tools to create line and shape. My favorite element or principle to create for this assignment was the element shape because i got to create this abstract lettering using only shapes. Elements and Principles are important for creating a composition because without them there would be no composition, the elements and principles are vital to creating a composition.
