Maricar Joy Fulgado's Post Cards - 50mm focal length, f/29 @ 1/160 This is in-studio photography I did for a fellow artist to showcase her post cards. While it was difficult to make sure the white of the cards would not blow out, I think I did a decent job. I also decided upon the layout, which was a more difficult shot than I had first intended; to get all the items in the shot, I actually needed to climb a 12 foot ladder.
Orchid Macro - 50mm focal length, f/2.2 @ 1/8000, ISO 320, natural lighting Fake macro shot of an orchid, before bloom. Color retouched to slightly brighten the leaves.
Jino Kang's movie - 50mm focal length, f/1.8 @ 1/13, ISO 400 Hapkido Master Jino Kang (left), my martial arts instructor, with another Hapkido practitioner. This was shot for Master Kang's upcoming film. This was one of the many warm up shots before filming started. I was lucky to have enough room to shoot with my 50mm, and the room's lighting was good enough to cast some nice shadows/highlights. You can almost hear the sounds of generators and electrical equipment in the background before they fight.
blush_martini - 50mm focal length, f/3.5 @ 1/10, ISO 400 These shots were in a club in Burlingame called Blush. I feel that they capture the surreal and fun ambience of the club scene with all the vivid colors of the happenings going on. For this shot individually, no extra lighting was used in order to capture the dark shadows. I think the clarity would have been improved if I had used a tripod for stability. I think it still would work fine as flyer art, however.
blush_bar - 50mm focal length, f/2.0 @ 1/30, ISO 400 These shots were in a club in Burlingame called Blush. I feel that they capture the surreal and fun ambience of the club scene with all the vivid colors of the happenings going on. Again, no extra lighting was used for this shot. Another fine shot for flyer art.
blush_dj - 50mm focal length, f/2.0 @ 1/.4, ISO 400 These shots were in a club in Burlingame called Blush. I feel that they capture the surreal and fun ambience of the club scene with all the vivid colors of the happenings going on. Again, no extra lighting was used. I found this shot extremely more satisfying than when I did take the shot again using flash. For improvement, the shot would look better with a tripod, especially at such slow shutter speed, but it's still a fun and interesting photo.
