For a class, 2.014 (complex engineering systems), I worked in a group of 12 to make a power system that could run on aluminum fuel. The aluminum was made into aluminum-gallium pellets which produce hydrogen when mixed with water. We separated out the hydrogen from the other elements and used it to power a fuel cell.
