For the Subway Firecracker 250 at Daytona International Speedway on July 5th, Phoenix Racing, Hendrick Automotive Group, Kurt Busch, and the Armed Forces Foundation partnered together to bring the City Chevrolet paint scheme, made famous in the Hollywood blockbuster Days of Thunder, back to the track for one more race. After the race, Kurt donated his fire suit for auction, raising more than $3,100 for the Foundation. The car featured the AFF's logo on the rear quarter panels to draw attention to the Help Save Our Troops campaign. This special paint scheme capped off our activities for National PTSD Awareness Month, which is recognized every June with June 27th being National PTSD Awareness Day.
