Crown Royal “Your Hero’s Name Here” Contest

On June 27th, 2013, the Armed Forces Foundation began a partnership with Crown Royal, Big Machine Records, and Justin Moore for "Your Hero's Name Here" – an annual contest to rename the Brickyard 400 after an everyday, national hero.

For this year's contest, AFF President Patricia Driscoll and AFF Ambassador Kurt Busch drove the Indianapolis Motor Speedway pace car to surprise 2013 winner GySgt USMC (Ret) Samuel Deeds at a ceremony in Sam's hometown of Erlanger, KY; Sam was also the Race Dedication honoree for the NASCAR race in Sparta, KY that same weekend.

During the ceremony, country music superstar Justin Moore premiered his new single "Heroes," which was written specifically for this contest. Afterwards, the song was made available for a free download online and for each download, Crown Royal would donate $1 to the AFF.
