I first created my Sketch layer where I created an outline of my image using a black paintbrush tool. Next, I created my Blending layer where I used the Eyedropper tool to choose colors that corresponded with my picture. With the appropriate colors, I was able to use my paintbrush and Mixer brush tool to blend colors together.I made a layer called Details.I painted areas of my face that are more detailed and small My last layer consisted of my background which I used a gradient from the fill layers tool. At the beginning of this project I was excited to make a self portrait using paintbrushes instead of using existing images that I had to copy and paste. I found it difficult to work with the tools but as time progressed it became easier. For my project, I wanted to show a more relaxed side of my personality. Usually, I’m tense and hard on myself, but in this image I’m relaxed. For example, my head is resting on my hand. This project shows an alternate version of me.
