Unplugged Hotel
As the younger generation are turning to social media as a communication tool, the value of face to face communication has become undermined and social interaction is taking a non-verbal turn. The project aims to design a community venue that would provide users with a respite from technology as well as encourage face to face social interaction.
The concept is ‘Unplugged, unwired and disconnect’. It consists of 3 types of gradient to ease the user into a ‘no screen’ vacation. The gradients are disconnect, friction and boredom.
