I chose to do a screw for my icon because of the possibilities I saw with its form. It is a very simple yet beautiful form to work with. Also, depending on the way it's used and what context it's paired with, the possible meanings are endless.
Placing the screw icon by the 6th street viaduct in Milwaukee not only comments on the hard workers that have built our communities, but also how the bridge connects communities.
