Fall 2011: Fashion You'll Fall For - Our first look book told the story of our model traveling the world to find a horse. This was a studio shoot, so I had more space to play with typography and imagery. A passport “stamp” from each country visited was added to the looks.

Winter 2012: Save the Date - We used specific dates to tell the story of our model and her horse throughout winter, the key fashion aspect being layers. I wanted to let the photography speak for itself, so the copy lived in color blocks at the bottom of each photo.

Look Book Spring 2012: More than Meets the Eye - A lot of our spring apparel had “hidden gems” that made the clothing more fun and functional for riders. We had shorter copy, so I worked each sentence into the look and pulled pinks, blues and purples that were featured in the clothing this season.

SmartPak Equine Look Books

Project Date: Fall and Winter 2011, Spring 2012.
Specs: 467x700 pixels (Web only project).
Software: Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
Project Role: Designer.

I worked with our photography team, copywriter, and interactive designer to create three equestrian look books that are featured on the SmartPak website. Each book carries a different theme, and I weaved together photography and copy to tell the story. I worked with our interactive designer on the website presentation and usability. The first book in Fall 2011 was such a success, we create a new book each season.
