PRATTONIA 2009 - Proposed and led the creative direction
and design for the 2009 Pratt yearbook.
Art directed all studio, campus, and stu-
dent photographs. Designed layout of the
144 page book. Created promotionals for
the book. Proposed and won a grant for the
project’s unique sustainable aspect.
Prattonia 2009 was designed with a sustainable purpose. The covers were made from discarded cardboard from the Pratt campus. The repurposed cardboard was hand silk screened with water based inks. Each book has one of twelve letters and colors that spell out the message "Do Not Discard."
Fonts utilized have punch cut holes in them to conserve 20% more ink. The dimensions of the book were determined by maximizing page space, and minimizing waste. The paper stock is recycled and FSC Certified.
