In 2008, SMCA Design Center was approached by Whirlpool Corporation to design and produce a 24” under counter microwave drawer for its Jenn-Air® brand of luxury kitchen appliances. As my first project as
a professional, I collaborated with Whirlpool to successfully apply Jenn-Air’s design language to Sharp’s microwave drawer technology. My goal was to help develop from ideation to production an under counter microwave drawer that reflected Jenn-Air’s brand identity
of sophisticated styling, innovative technology and exceptional performance.
