I worked with the marketing studio Bluetext to develop sets of illustrations and case study designs for their government transformer hero campaign.
In phase one of this project, I needed to create themes based on the individual’s use of Google’s products. My solution was to produce minimal, metaphorical illustrations for each case study.
In phase two we needed portrait images of each “hero.” Only small, low-quality reference photos were given to us, each with different lighting and camera angles. With each person living in different states of the country, there was no way we could do a photoshoot session. To make a cohesive set of artwork, I developed illustrated characters based on those reference images. From there, I created a portrait style that would work well with the campaign illustrations and the Google brand.
