Flow
The major project in our fall semester of sophomore year, Flow is a luminaire that was inspired by a photograph of jellyfish from the Camden Aquarium. These were submitted into the IES Design With Light competition in 2017, and this was one of the pieces chosen to be showcased at the event. Built from scratch, this project taught me a lot about building prototypes that had wiring involved, as I had not worked with electrical circuits and soldering beforehand. Also we were introduced with considering pricing into our future work, as we had to track all of our time and expenses on the luminaire as the project progressed.
