A shelving unit designed in response to a brief that focused on maximising structural rigidity by manipulating thin materials.
The shelving unit can be easily disassembled with the shelves being able to nest, for a more space efficient distribution. Being designed to keep indoors, it can be practical in bathrooms, kitchen, and other damp areas.
The shelving unit is multi-purposeful in the sense that it allows for both small, and large everyday household items to be easily stored.
The shelves, brake pressed, are made from steel. The open shelves provide an easy overview as well as an easy reach. The shelves therefore are straightforward for users to also wipe.
The adjustable plastic feets become useful when on a surface that is uneven and also help in protecting the floor i.e. from scratch.
The uprights are steel box sections held together by a 4mm steel plate. Rivet bolts are found on either sides of the upright giving an opportunity for users to extend the shelving unit.
