Martin Šálek

The design for the ruin of the parish church of Gubin rethinks the building as a meeting, event and exhibition centre. Given the proximity of the German-Polish border and the metaphorical significance of the church within European history, the space is foreseen to host international as well as local events, related to topics including dialogue, borders, or displacement, which are as important today as in the history of the site.
