OKOLO ŠUMPERK. 2024.

The competition’s assignment was an intervention in the middle of a large roundabout at the city’s bypass. My aim is to spark an interest of the bypassing drivers and passengers in the city an the region. The concept is derived from axes pointing to surrounding landmarks and historical towers of the city. The shape is derived from a fabric “hanging” on the axes, reminding of the rich history of textile production, and is formed by columns of different heights, which can shine with different lights at night, inspired by spindles. As the observer goes around, different axes are opening and the shape is changing.
