la Murrina project
Canopy - la Murrina project - Canopy is a concept developed for La Murrina during my master in industrial design at Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan. During this project we where developing armatures to be produced by hand in the factories in Murano in Venice. The project was supervised by Huub Ubbens.
Canopy is based on the ideas of the casting of shadows in the forest of the branches and the leaves. The lamp has an light fitting attatched to the ceiling and with the distance between the light source and the glass branches the branches cast shadows on the floor benieth.
