Simple Bag - Subject: Transportation
Target User: A young, commuting business woman.
To create a way to simplify their mode of carrying items. The solution... A simple bag.
Research: Scenarios and the Market - The market has thousands of bags for different needs. But, observation showed young business woman still struggling to reach into their purses & bags.
Concept: Brainstorm & Development - The bag was to be ergonomically designed, yet keeping it with style & fashion. The design & form were mocked up. The materials were key to the final prototype.
Concept: Final and Prototype - The plastic mesh holds the shape of the bag. The main exterior materials are cotton velvet & synthetic leather. A small coin, or makeup bag was added as an accessory. A pocket on each side of bag holds frequently used items. A compartment for writing utensils, and small planners also creates the base of the bag. A concave indent in strap creates comfort at shoulder with no worries of it slipping off.
