Greenhouse Challenge Plus for RMIT Computer Labs - This project involved reducing the emissions of RMIT University's tech labs. About 100 labs (2000 computers) were involved. We provided guidelines for future labs and updates for current labs.
The updates are shown here in situ. Changes included replacing florescent tubs with 1/2 as many low energy T5 bulbs, adding LED task lamps and optimising the use model of the lights and computers. With these changes alone RMIT would save 7,468 tonnes CO2 –e per year and more than $2M over 10 years.
