Our winning team, GridSmartr, was selected after two intense days of competition at the "2019 LA Auto Show", securing the grand prize of $10,000 after impressing judges with an innovative solution to two critical Electric Vehicle adoption factors – infrastructure stability and consumer adoption incentives. The GridSmartr tool finds the optimal time to charge electric vehicles, as well as providing incentives to consumers by earning points if they allow their vehicles to draw less energy while the grid is overloaded. My role includes the integration of HERE Technologies API and Amazon Web Services, branding, and slide deck for our pitch.

All those awards will be in vain if I did not pass the knowledge down. One of the best things that happened in my life is being the founder and teacher of our community coding camp for underrepresented kids and women. My mission is to ensure that children in my community have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education in the field of computer science and a pathway to the best jobs in the country. "Success in life is measured by the lives we've touched not by the things we have."
