Original Home: cluttered design, left side navigation menu too long for quick navigation, competing call to actions neutralizing each other.
After redesign version one: navigation is simplified, main call to action is blue button, followed by a large search bar to ease navigation and make it faster. Rotating slides with links to the highlighted products. A movable grid below the fold that allows multiple layouts to be displayed combining two or three slots for a more dynamic view. Added sections "new"and "hot and trending", each using a special algorithm to update the feed with the latest additions to the inventory as well as the best sellers, respectively. SEO descriptions at the bottom in user friendly language to meet client expectations while helping the site be indexed and ranked.
Before: Original Product Page
After: redesigned product page according to website and client restrictions.
Product Page
Before: Original Contact Page
After: New Contact Page
Before: Original "My Account" section, where users track and edit orders.
Users had to go through a lengthy process to reach the actions allowed per order, all were placed in one screen to facilitate navigation and complete actions on live orders.
After: Updated My Account section with centralized list of actions, all visible under the 1-click-to complete action, school of thought. The space at the top is destined to include a contextual search ad based on previous searches.
Before
After: I was asked to just change the colors and polish the look but keep the layout
Before: Original Resource Center page, this section of the website hosts articles and blog posts with useful information for users. It also aids with SEO positioning.
After: This section shows the same resource center as before but with easy navigation, people can choose from grid and list view, navigate other sections of the website and access articles easily.
New "My Account" Section with client requests and changes.
Original Category Page: cluttered items, outdated design.
After: Modernized category page with contextual images and easy navigation, simplified bullets. Later on we added SEO text at the bottom to help with indexation and ranking.
New Page: Shipping. Tasked with creating landing page template, copy and supervision of image selection.
New Page: Why Us, previous website did not have a why us page and this was a great opportunity to expand on the reasons why the company meets and exceeds client needs and expectations, as well as improve SEO.
The Daily Deal was a small project I coordinated to have the following features: an automated coupon in a calendar format every day, within specific ranges and an automated update of the main image to match the day's discounted item. In cooperation with the development department the project was completed in three weeks.
Original Navigation Menu (Complete)
New Navigation Menu: more organized, adorned with contextual images for a more visually engaging experience.
Original Contact Us Page in Full
New improved contact page, with hide and show options for the "directions" section, in order to minimize visual noise and get users to interact with the parts of the page more important to them. The company did not have a contact us form prior to the proposed redesign.
