Vinho da Ordem
Vinho da Ordem is a wine brand produced in Portugal. Its ancestral history dates back to 12th century and the cultivation of land by several religious orders. Located in the area of Valhelhas, Guarda (Portugal), the papal bull undersigned by King Sancho the 1st (The Settler) by Alexander the 7th in 1503 served to nominate a council of judges whose task was to settle a dispute between the land lord and the religious order.
These vines had first been harvested by templars and were recently recovered by the Vinho da Ordem brand. Marco Balsinha created the corporate image inspired by the papal bull codices.
The products are available to the public through the brand's website and in several specialised stores. Can be purchased at: http://www.vinhodaordem.pt/
