Polycom HDX Camera - Polycom needing to incorporate the new High Defintion technology into its new range of video conferencing equipment required a unique and sophisticated camera module. The result of a 6 month intense development process was the HDX module. Tested upon its launch in 2006 it out performed all competition in this market.
DELL XPS gaming PC - Designed as part of a large team effort the XPS gaming PC is Dell Computers first major entry into the gaming PC market. Needing to take on the likes of Alienware the cutting edge design of the XPS710 needed to match its high technical performance and spec. Released in 2007 the XPS PC is fast selling its way into the hearts and minds of hardcore gamers as well as design savvy consumers worldwide.
OHSO re-usable toothbrush - The OHSO re-useable toothbrush was a first to market product. Incorporating a clever mechanism that allows the toothbrush head to screw off so that the toothpaste can be attached and extracted by turning the end cap. This non-messy, sealed action also allows the paste to be excreted through the brush head directly onto the bristles. The overall cap and design of the main body is attractive in appearance and disguises it as a pen type device.
AMD Mobile Server - To promote the launch of its new Hammerhead processor chip, AMD required a mobile server station that would be offered to video game developers for road testing. The internal architecture accomodated a quad array of the new processors as well as multiple slots for video cards. The end design utilized brushed aluminum panelling and rollerblade wheels for mobility. All removable panels and doors were carefully engineered to make accessing the internal easy. Only 100 limited edition units made.
DELL Optiplex GX - The newly designed Optiplex GX compact dekstop PC required stable stand for docking to as well as interfacing a 15" LCD monitor. The stand needed to be able to secure both products safely to it as well as provide handleability. Telescoping handles and flip dial locking mechanisms were explored and prototyped prior to full production. The Optiplex GX also reflected the new Visual Brand Language at the time.
Symbol Scanner & Dock - The Symbol Cobalt scanner product is one of their most popular hand held barcode scanners. Designed for not only warehouse applications but also the shop floor - retail environment. Widely used by leading retailers such as Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel and others. Key features of this product are its swivel laser scan head allowing the user to hold the product in multiple orientations for grip and comfort. The form is efficient while still being ergonomically sound for various sized hands.
DELL Latitude LS - The latitude LS notebook was DELL Computer's very first slim-line entry model for the business sector. Sleek, compact and light thanks to the Magnesium housing. This notebook was also the first to use the arc detail on its surfacing which later developed into the half moon semantic that popularised the inspiron line. With the popularity of product placement, the Latitude LS was featured on a Microsoft commercial as well as the motion picture SWORDFISH.
