Memphis Beale Street Cafe Relocation Project
The Hard Rock moved their existing café location further down Beale street and into a former restaurant called the "Elvis Presley Restaurant". This former restaurant was modeled after Graceland; it had millwork modeled after its' entry living and dining room and featured a crystal chandelier replica of the original one in Graceland's foyer. Due to the minimal budget we kept many of the existing architectural features such as millwork, brick and railings; but transformed the look of the space by painting them in bright colors.
Project contribution:
• Developed design concepts for the bar, stage, and retail shop.
• Developed layout of velvet painting/ candle design bar feature. Worked with craftsmen to develop, fabricate and install while providing art direction.
• Managed interior design from concept through construction completion; supervised a team of external design consultants
• Sourced, prototyped and procured furnishings, specialty millwork and lighting
