Hard Rock Café Hong Kong was developed and owned by a franchisee partner and was built consecutively with the Hard Rock Café Macau. Located in Lan Kwai Fong, a small square of streets in Central Hong Kong, it is a popular expat spot for drinking, clubbing and dining. To make it stand out in the crowded row of bars and dining establishments, we covered the entry in polished gold dragon scales that sparkled under the neon glow of the street signs at night. Large scaled, gold Chinese tassels hung above the bar.
Project Contribution:
• Managed a team of external design consultants during the interior design development/documentation phase. Reviewed all design documentation, approved all interior finishes, fixtures and furniture.
• Acted as the owners representative/ guardian of the brand, performed project management duties during development and construction. Traveled to the project to meet with developer and designers throughout the design and construction process.
