The concept of this space was to transform it from a serene space during the lunch service- into a moody & dramatic concert like venue at night; it relied on the use of theatrical lighting and our dimmer system. The dining room utilized a monochromatic color palette made of materials that diffuse, project and absorb light. At dusk, the lighting control system adjusted the dining room's decorative warm lighting into RGB color. Color and various patterns were then projected onto monochromatic materials such as drapery, flooring, and walls; this adjustment helped to change the overall internal color, intensity, atmosphere and mood during the dinner service.
Project contribution:
• Managed interior design from concept through construction completion.
• Sourced, prototyped and procured all furnishings, specialty millwork and thematic lighting items for the project.
• Acted as the owners representative/ guardian of the brand, project management duties during development / construction
