Baisakhi: Detail Of the Logo - Baisakhi is the popular harvest festival of Punjab, which is the most vibrant state of India. For the people of Punjab, a day full of music, dance and food and this was exactly what the hotel intended to give its patrons through the promotion.
Baisakhi: Cover and Spreads - Punjab is famous as an agriculturally prosperous state, a colourful land of loving people and also its dhabas (these are eating joints on the road, highways/ motels), where you can see lot of truck drivers taking a halt. These trucks are painted in oil paints with very peculiar forms, motifs and bright colours. All these elements together show case the sate to a large extent and provide a great inspiration for the designer.

Bidri: Menu (cover and inside spreads) - Bidri is a handicraft made form tin, copper, lead and zinc and named after a region, called Bidar, where the craft originated. It's an old Deccani name (Hyderabadi), when Bidar was part of Hyderabad Deccan.
This is where the name for the Indian restaurant, at Hyderabad Marriott is derived from, and what else could have been a better inspiration for me to design the menu for the restaurant, than the craft itself.
Bidri: Gift Box + Wrpping Papper + Bag - It was a great experience since I met some of the artisans, studied the kind of patterns and motifs they typically use for the art. But the difficult part was translating the same art on paper, because the actual piece would become very heavy since its metal. So finally we managed to achieve the same result by using silver foil stamping on a black paper.
