The Sea Change Institute's focus is Ocean Climate & Alternative Energy Research and Education. The exhibition and public education center promotes the urgency behind protecting our earths natural resources - particularly focusing on the delicate coastal habitats of Southern California. The inspiration for the facility design was found in elements of the pattern, structure and composition of the black sea urchin and in the radial patterns found in ocean and climate circulation.
