Edited Photo, 2014. What I did in Photoshop was dodge and burn my face to give it depth, like in the image Penn took. I also made the wall behind me white and reduced the texture in it through dodging so, like the photo, I had no color in the background of the photo.
Unedited Version of Photo, 2014. The camera settings were on portrait with 800 ISO and the camera was set on a tripod, with a timer setting in order to pose for the camera before it took the photo.
