OVERVIEW: New logo identity for a MIami based DJ/Producer. With his music styles ranging from deep, tech, techno, funk, vocal, and pretty much every other sub-genre of house, we sought to fuse a typeface that was clean and easy to reproduce over various mediums. The creative element came in the form of the last letter in his name, an abbreviation of his actual last name and the shadow boxing of his first name. The result is a clean, bold presence over any medium. In order to represent the fact that Sammy O is constantly promoting the latest underground house music, we kept to a simple color palate of black and white - representational of the standard house ideal of simplicity, no flash, just the bare essentials (4 walls, good people and a bass shaking sound system).
