WATT? Scale Models - The WATT? is an electricity monitor that measures a households usage and comunicates this usage to the occupants through display screens in the home. By measuring and then converting the usage into units that people comprehend more easilly they are provided with a continuouse reminder of their cost of usage and more importantly the cost of their wastage, providing an incentive and means of managing their usage more effectively. These ureal models are scale representations of the final product.
WATT? Proving Principle Prototype - This prototype measues the electricity usage of any appliances that are plugged in by the sensor module on the right, which wirelessely sends this data to the display module on the left. This shows the usage in units that the user can comprehend more easilly, which enables a user to manage their usage more effectively.
