BIOM VENTURE SURROUND GTX:
In a nutshell the brief was to design a multi purpose outdoor shoe, suitable for a variety of activities and terrain. I wanted to tackle the project with a holistic approach, so every single element of the shoe was considered in line with Ecco’s philosophy of ‘Form Follows Function’.
SPECIFIC FEATURES:
Athletic last fully follows anatomical foot shape for glove-like snug fit and comfort; waterproof with excellent ventilation properties; designated pedal zone in the midfoot area; sole profile inspired by a mountain bike tire offers excellent grip in rough terrain; beveled heel shape ensures smooth transition when walking; speed lacing system for quick adjustment; GORE-TEX® stretch wings for excellent fit.
