TV Remote Reverse Engineer
Reverse Engineer of a LCD TV Remote to Better Understand Plastic Part Design - The aim of this project was to reproduce an injection molded plastic part with complicated features in SolidWorks software as accurately as possible. 3D printing was used to compare the modelled part with the original. Project progressed through the following stages: disassembly of remote, analysis of plastic parts and components, measurement of remote, 3D modelling of remote, 3D printing of completed model, fitment of 3D printed part vs original and part drawings.
