This is a veneer chair design project that was done in the Furniture Design in Scandinavia program when I was studying abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The DIS (Danish Institute For Study Abroad) Furniture Design in Scandinavia program, conducted in collaboration with the Danish Academy School of Fine Arts, trains students in the full design process of a piece of furniture, normally a chair, from the initial concept through design development and model construction to the building of an actual prototype, and exposes students to the history, theories, works and current expressions of Scandinavian furniture design.
