Crane chair ideation and sketches.
Crane - Crane chair was inspired by imagery and emotional content from the film Lost in Translation. The form was inspired by folded paper and the delicate sensitivity one demonstrates while aranging floral bouquets. Crane chair is meant to appear intimidating, until one sits down and experiences the lumbar support from the stretched fabric, the light spring from the cold rolled steel, and the breathability of the athletic mesh.
