Obli Audio

This project concentrated on building an emotional attachment between the product and the user. The oak surround was left unfinished so the grain wore in and with each scratch and dent, spawned a memory. The aluminium dials left polished and untreated to suffer the same fate.

The focus was on the details, material choices and interaction between user and product. Little details such as the royal blue power light lining up with the volume to keep visual interruptions in the form to a minimum make the product what it is.

The rear of the product shows its connections proudly, not something to be shied away from, inviting the audiophile in the user to interact in a confident manner. Laptop speakers don't have to adhere to stereotypes, hopefully these break the mould a little.
