A symbol of a saviour
A jewelry project comissioned by a very special association of doctors, who specialize in pediatric cancer treatment. The association hands out a little gift to every graduating doctor joining the rare ranks of the group. The group wanted the gift to be a jewel suitable for both sexes. They also wanted it to be something that can be produced in small quantities, for future graduents too. The jewel is cast silver and it is convertable both as a tie pin and a brooch. The symbol on the jewel is an abstraction from the tool the doctors use for taking a sample of the cancer tissue. The package is CNC machined birch plywood.
