Illustrator Book Cover 2015

This piece is was created using Adobe Illustrator for a course at UMUC. The course was Illustration Graphics and was taken in the Fall of 2015. Illustrator is a widely used program to create vector graphics. This program is commonly used to create logos.
This piece demonstrates Illustrator's capability of creating artwork as a painting tool. The image contains around 30 layers of color, filters, and paint, as well as the vector image. This piece is a fictional item, although it contains the name of a real author. The project started as a logo redesign for a real company and culminated into a fictional book cover. I like this image because of the concept of the tree and how having a deep foundation you can grow and create your destiny.
