This project was about changing perceptions. Diesel engines have had a long-standing reputation of being dirty, underpowered and unrefined. Our creative team was tasked with building a site to support a new diesel engine for the Jeep Grand Cherokee and dispel these myths. We ended up designing a modified Parallax site that included a calculator to highlight the strengths and support with many unknown facts. Our team crafted the story around power, fuel economy, ecofriendly/green, towing/mpg, extendedd range and long-term savings. Analytics proved this project was extremely successful with about 50% of users engaging the calculator and exiting the page via a shopping tool. Our client was extremely pleased with the outcome and uses it as a benchmark for a highly-engaging, user-friendly shopping experience.
