For over ten years three partially derelict buildings sat unused, they previously housed hospital laboratories and offices. The goal of this project was to refurbish the structures and form a new Breast Screening department for Lincoln County Hospital. Along with a new internal layout the external walls were updated with yellow render and timber cladding panels.
With two distinct patient groups the buildings were split into two areas with dedicated entrances and waiting rooms. Breast screening was based in the left building, with new ultrasound and mammography scanning suites. The right two buildings housed Symptomatic patients, including those suffering from cancer. The upper level had new consultation rooms, a counselling room and a prosthetic fitting room. The lower level features the Symptomatic waiting room, with a small outside landscaped area with seating.
