Waiting for the Bus - Avoiding the highway traffic and braving the crowds, over 1 million Chicagoans anxiously wait every morning for the CTA bus system. This project studied the relationships between the elements of the bus stops and bus riders. Patterns developed into a deeper understanding of the behaviors and meanings ascribed to CTA bus stops. The project coalesced with a set of actionable recommendations for the Chicago Transit Authority.
Minimed YOUth Pump - While insulin pumps address the needs of many diabetics, its form has changed very little since its original inception in the early 1980s. This project explores how form is influenced by its interior, component configuration.
Surviving Rape - “Surviving Rape” is an ethnographic installation communicating the process of coping with rape and the impact that friends, family and culture shared in that. Its purpose is to bridge between the ethnography, its participants and others who might benefit from its contents.
